The Sound of Music Education offers a range of practical music workshops for primary and intermediate school teachers.

Maria provides a wide range of professional development and support for schools and for primary and intermediate school teachers.  Maria will tailor one-on-one or whole staff support to meet the needs of the individual teacher and the school.

Typical professional development work includes:

1. reviewing and developing a school’s music programme
   

2. working to build confidence in teaching classroom music
   

3. running staff meetings to familiarise teachers with resources and strategies for teaching music
   

4. linking music to the delivery of other learning areas
   

5. introducing teaching resources that can enhance music programmes
   

6. developing resources to enhance teaching
